Reporting to the Manufacturing East Planning Team Leader, this position is responsible for scheduling maintenance activities to drive productivity based on priority, resources, and asset availability.

 

You Will Use Your Expertise To:

  • Develop and communicate execution schedules aligned to asset availability and track progress against completion dates
  • Schedule the sequence of work to be executed based on site priorities, asset, resource, and material availability to maximize tool time and minimize equipment down time
  • Maintain and adjust an accurate two - five week schedule
  • Manage planned backlogs in alignment with Maintenance Work Management (MWM) Standards and position planned backlog work in future weeks, maintaining a scheduling forecast for the subsequent weeks
  • Coordinate with functional groups in schedule development to maximize utilization of resources, facilitate effective schedule loading and schedule 100% of available resource capacity
  • Facilitate schedule development, commitment, and workflow performance review meetings
  • Perform data analysis of scheduling key performance metrics for leadership and support groups related to scheduling
  • Understand and adhere to scheduling principles, Engineering and Maintenance Work Management (MWM) standards, business processes, flows, procedures, and best practices
  • Schedule maintenance work as required for specific integrated major maintenance and outage events 
  • Identify variance to targets and lead problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Schedule preventative maintenance (PM) orders in alignment with maintenance philosophy/asset care strategy and regulatory compliance
  • Coordinate with Purchasing for material / PO dates and communicate if dates cannot be met
  • Adjust schedule to allow break in work according to priorities / operations needs
  • Adjust work orders as required during execution
  • Collect and communicate feedback to improve plans and task lists
  • Organize coverage for vacation and training
  • Contribute to a work environment that supports a motivated, productive team
  • Coordinate and collaborate in the development of maintenance standardization, procedures, best practices

What We Are Looking For:

2-year technical school diploma with 8+ years of related experience OR 10+ years combination of post-secondary technical education and related experience OR 10+ years of progressive experience in a manufacturing discipline or equivalent technology environment

  • Strong commitment to Responsible Care® Principles through demonstrated excellence in occupational safety, process safety and environmental stewardship
  • Scheduling experience in a petrochemical, gas or industrial processing plant with significant experience using SAP to schedule the Plant Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) would be considered a key attribute
  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) and Maintenance Management Profession (MMP) designation would be considered an asset
  • Expert level working knowledge and capability of scheduling software (Ex. SAP 1909, P6, Oracle, MRS, Prometheus) and related tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
  • Communication, interpersonal and effective facilitation skills
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Continuous Improvement mindset focused on execution productivity
  • Strong analytical skills to disseminate and effectively present data

Additional Information:

  • Relocation will NOT be considered for this position
  • Compensation will be commensurate with education and experience
  • This role requires no/ad hoc travel 
  • Work will be conducted both indoors and outdoors in all seasons
  • Positions will include some lifting and climbing of ladders within various levels of the units
  • Overtime and callouts are a requirement of the role due to the 24 hour per day plant operation
  • The successful candidate is required to provide proof of a valid driver’s license
