- This position provides the option to work from home on Mondays and Fridays each week, with the requirement to report to the primary NOVA Chemicals work location on Tuesdays through Thursdays. Employees can opt out of the hybrid schedule and will be expected to work Monday-Friday from the primary work location.

NOVA Chemicals, headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, is wholly-owned by Mubadala Investment Company of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to lead the strategic management of our polyethylene product portfolio. This role is responsible for guiding products through their full lifecycle, from development to commercialization, and ensuring alignment with business growth strategies. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive product innovation, market expansion, and continuous improvement in our product management processes.
You Will Use Your Expertise To:
- Oversee the full lifecycle of polyethylene products, ensuring alignment with market and business objectives.
- Develop and execute strategic product slate plans, considering market trends, customer needs, and business priorities.
- Work with market focus teams to ensure new product development aligns with growth plans and market demand.
- Partner with R&D, technical service, regulatory, marketing, market development, sales, asset management, integrated planning, and manufacturing to support product innovation and commercialization.
- Provide guidance and coaching to product development teams, ensuring projects meet both technical and commercial objectives.
- Support the new product development process, including evaluating commercial opportunities, managing the product launch process, and refining market introduction strategies.
- Use benchmarking, key performance metrics, and audits to drive continuous improvement in product management processes and tools.
- Support marketing initiatives by leading or contributing to market intelligence projects, competitive analysis, and commercial performance measurement.
- Lead and participate in product slate changes, ensuring strategic alignment and operational feasibility.
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field with 10+ years’ experience
- Experience with polymer or industrial materials development processes is an asset
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and lead teams without direct authority
- Strong skills in program and portfolio management
- Strong competence in commercial analysis and business case development for the purpose of leading product management commercial processes
- Deep understanding of product development processes and methodologies
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and software tools.

Additional Information:
- Relocation will NOT be considered for this position
- Compensation will be commensurate with education and experience
- The successful candidate must possess a valid driver’s license and be eligible to travel easily between Canada and the U.S.
