IT Team Leader for Finance, Procurement and Responsible Care
NOVA CHEMICALS INC. is seeking an IT Team Leader for Finance, Procurement and Responsible Care to work at Coraopolis, PA. The Leader will be required to perform the following duties: (1) Lead team of IT professionals (8-12 direct reports) responsible for investigation, development, implementation and adoption of various software solutions, support and continuous improvement enhancements, multiple business functions with extensive business processes for Finance, Procurement and Responsible Care; (2) Leads Applications projects in area of accountability including managing budget(2M US$ to 5M US$), schedule, resources/capacity planning and business outcomes; (3) Oversees and manages product development and processes for Finance, Procurement and Responsible Care; (4) Accurate budgeting and forecasting to stay within Annual Business Plan including project portfolio planning, consulting services and software subscriptions; (5) Establish, promote and enforces standards and roadmaps in area of accountability in accordance with industry best practices across different IT platforms - SAP S4/HANA, Cloud solutions and Automation platform; (6) Supports and promotes Talent Development within team and across IT organization; (7) Collaborates with senior executives in organization (Senior Leaders, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Information Officer, Directors and Vice presidents) and lead core digital transformation initiatives for multiple business functions
Position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering plus six years of experience in the financial or petrochemical industry supporting Information technology application development and support and continued professional development through technical certifications in SAP and Microsoft.
Experience required with the following: (1) experience with managing IT Professionals that work with various integrated on-premises (S4/HANA) and cloud-based business applications and technologies (SAP Ariba, SuccessFactors, MS Power Apps, OneStream, Enablon); (2) experience with working on digital transformation initiatives in collaboration with senior executives in the organization, specifically working on business strategy and technology roadmaps; (3) experience with investigating and implementing best technology solutions aligned to roadmaps and business strategy, explicitly investigating fit-to-purpose cloud solutions that integrate with SAP S4/HANA; (4) experience with the implementation of technology solutions for finance, procurement, health, and safety; specifically related to these business processes: Financial planning and analysis, lease accounting, accounts payable transformation, source-to-pay, procure-to-pay, incident management and environment management; (5) experience with vendor management with software suppliers, specifically understanding technology architecture, licensing, consulting, and support for on-premises and cloud-based solutions; (6) experience with portfolio management and budget planning for the assigned business function; specifically Annual business plan, departmental fixed cost budget, and capital budget; (7) experience in design, implementation and support for enterprise resource planning(ERP) platforms such as SAP, specifically having technical certifications in related technologies; (8) experience and technical expertise in SAP solutions which supports business functions finance, procurement, health and safety; (9) experience with the continuous improvement/continuous delivery, agile delivery framework; specifically scrum methodology, DevOps, product delivery using digital factory principles; and (10) experience with people leadership; specifically resource management, hiring professionals, and providing coaching, and mentoring to employees for both performance and development.
