We’re seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional to join our high-performing commercial team as an Account Manager, Polyethylene. In this highly visible role, you will have the opportunity to work in a changing and collaborative environment where you can influence and positively impact the organization.
As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for generating and growing polyethylene sales within your assigned accounts by leveraging product knowledge, value-added services, and market expertise. This critical role provides a strong focus on value selling, through the ability to communicate attributes, benefits, and value drivers of our products, as well as our full slate of value-added service offerings. The successful candidate will work as part of a Sales Team and closely with other cross functional team members (marketing, technical service, customer service, logistic, finance, etc.) to deliver results.
You Will Use Your Expertise To:
- Negotiate annual and multi-year contracts for a multitude of business organizations (private and public) while driving toward mutual success.
- Proactively identify and accurately describe business opportunities and threats based on business intelligence/market dynamics while initiating action to address them internally.
- Make timely submissions of high-quality reports to key stakeholders including recommendations for growing high-value business.
Who We Are Looking For:
University graduate with 10+ years related experience, with a minimum of 10 years of customer-interfacing and/or selling experience and continued professional development OR 14+ years combination of post-secondary education and industry related experience, with a minimum of 10 years customer interfacing and /or selling experience and continued professional development.
- Strong technical aptitude required, science &/or engineering education/training/experience preferred (Chemistry, Polymer Science, Engineering, etc.).
- Strong financial aptitude also required with some formal financial training or education preferred (finance, business management, etc.).
- Specific experience in polyethylene sales and/or commodity or specialty chemical sales (plastics/polymers, additives, metals, other commodities) preferred.
- Knowledge of the polyethylene applications is considered an asset.
- Understands how to deploy NOVA's products and services to meet the needs and challenges of convertors.
- Well versed and has a track record of success in implementing sales processes to include reporting, collaborating, value selling, market interface excellence, new product development.
- Curious and driven mindset. Has energy to learn and develop across several capacities.
- Self-starter with a positive attitude
- Professional and polished communication skills—both written (reporting) and verbal (presentations).
- Ability to work independently and deliver strong contributions without extensive oversight.
- Excellent people skills with ability to develop deep relationships quickly at different levels within large, complex organizational structures of key accounts.
- Ability to mobilize internal resources to support diverse customer development needs.

Additional Information:
- Relocation will NOT be considered for this position
- Compensation will be commensurate with education and experience
- This role requires frequent travel (50% or more) and the ability to travel easily between Canada and the United States
- The successful candidate is required to provide proof of a valid driver’s license
