We are seeking an I&E Planner to join our Geismar, Louisiana team. This position is responsible for creation of accurate jobs plans for instrument, electrical and analyzer maintenance activities to drive productivity based on priority, resources, and asset availability.

 

You Will Use Your Expertise To:

  • Collaborate with integrated support groups of production, maintenance, capital, turnaround, engineering, and projects to develop encompassing and accurate job plans for Instrument, Electrical and Analyzer notifications.
  • Link job plans accurately to help efficiently streamline scheduling of I&E work.
  • Manage and maintain a healthy unplanned notification backlog in alignment with Maintenance Work Management (MWM) Standards or Position.
  • Perform data analysis of key performance metrics for leadership and support groups related to planning.
  • Understand and adhere to planning principles, Maintenance Work Management (MWM) standards, business processes, flows, procedures, and standard practices.
  • Plan jobs for maintenance work as required for specific integrated major maintenance, turnaround and outage events.
  • Identify variances to targets and lead problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Plan preventative maintenance (PM) orders in alignment with maintenance philosophy/asset care strategy and regulatory compliance.
  • Validate and release PM/PdM WOs as they become available in SAP.
  • Create task lists to help improve job plan accuracy and efficiency.
  • Update task lists per Feedback Notifications as part of continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to a work environment that supports a motivated, productive team.
  • Escalate issues that require leadership support.
  • Work with multiple vendors and procurement to order materials to arrive in a reasonable time per priority of work order.
  • Work with multiple service providers and procurement to ensure services can be onsite to ensure workflow can continue optimally.
  • Coordinate and collaborate in the development of maintenance standardization, procedures, best practices.
  • Model NOVA's Nature by executing work and demonstrating behaviours that reflect our values.
  • Support budgeting process and drive cost ownership culture.
  • Take an active role in personal performance management and personal development.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing for material / PO dates.
  • Communicate to Coordinators if projected dates cannot be met.

 

 

What We Are Looking For:

  • A minimum 2-year technical school diploma with 10+ years of related experience or 12+ years combination of post-secondary technical education and related experience. Candidates with 12+ years of progressive experience in a manufacturing discipline or equivalent technology environment will be considered.

 

In addition, the successful candidate will have:

 

  • 3-5 years planning experience in a petrochemical, gas or industrial processing plant with significant experience in planning PMs. Pdm would be considered a key attribute.
  • Strong commitment to Responsible Care® Principles through demonstrated excellence in occupational safety, process safety and environmental stewardship.
  • Ability to coach and mentor developing team members.
  • Expert level working knowledge and capability of planning in SAP.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Communication, interpersonal and effective facilitation skills.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
  • Continuous Improvement mindset focused on execution productivity.
  • Strong analytical skills to disseminate and effectively present data.

Additional Information:

  • Relocation will NOT be considered for this position.
  • Compensation will be commensurate with education and experience.
