  • This position provides the option to work from home on Mondays and Fridays each week, with the requirement to report to the primary NOVA Chemicals work location on Tuesdays through Thursdays. Employees can opt out of the hybrid schedule and will be expected to work Monday-Friday from the primary work location.

Are you looking for a role where you can leverage your depth and breadth of experience to drive a supply chain transformation journey? As a Supply Chain Advisor in the Centre of Excellence team, you will be responsible for developing and driving advancements in talent, process and system capabilities to enable achievement of department strategic objectives. This role will support the Supply Chain systems procure to pay (P2P) and source to contract/pay (S2P) processes, acting as the Process Owner for any SAP and other systems procure to pay process elements.

 

You Will Use Your Expertise To:

  • Lead Requisition to Pay (RtP) process optimization efforts, in partnership with IT, as part of the SAP modernization program at NOVA Chemicals for Supply Chain and Procurement
  • Measure best in class benchmarks and define Supply Chain digital strategy and vision, in collaboration with IT, Digital Factory, Procurement and Contracts teams to achieve top quartile performance
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Supply Chain digital solutions, identifying opportunities to scale innovative technologies and enhance existing systems
  • Lead implementation of new and upgrades for Sourcing S2P, P2P, Contracting or ERP systems (SAP and Ariba), including developing and/or leading project and change management plans
  • Work with Supply Chain leadership to define and prioritize supply chain process and technology roadmap
  • Lead critical implementation efforts in partnership with Supply Chain and corporate enablement functions
  • Partner with support functions to identify, prioritize, select and implement new cutting-edge technology and scale and enhance existing solutions
  • Build and implement change management plans for new system deployment and upgrades for Sourcing S2P, P2P, Contracting or ERP systems
  • Deliver training to Supply Chain team members and business stakeholders on new processes and systems
  • Build governing policies and procedures to support a collective standard practices for the use of procure to pay (P2P) and source to contract/pay (S2P) systems
  • Define the future needs for procurement and contracts skills development and partner with Human Resources to close gaps
  • Engage with the analytics team to build, monitor and course correct on performance-based measures
  • Work with Supply Chain leaders and the analytics team to evolve to an insights driven department.

 

What We Are Looking For:

  • University graduate with 10+ years related experience and continued professional development OR 14+ years combination of post-secondary education and related experience with continued professional development.
  • Additional supply chain education, training and/or certification through APICS, ASCM, ISM, Supply Chain Canada and/or related professional organizations would be an asset.
  • Experience with supporting implementation and integration of supply chain procure to pay digital applications with specific focus on SAP, ARIBA and Icertis.
  • Sourcing, contracts and procurement experience with a good understanding in other areas of the value stream.
  • Ability to cultivate broad knowledge and relationships across different parts of the organization: commercial, sales, marketing, product development, finance, and manufacturing.
  • Deep knowledge in supply chain processes: supply chain design, contract negotiations, data analytics tied to costing and optimization of supply chains. 
  • Ability to listen, empathize and communicate with supply chain users' who seek better access to good-quality data in order to make better decisions.
  • Experience implementing new Sourcing, P2P, Contracting or ERP systems (SAP and Ariba), including developing and or leading project and change management plans.
  • Proven record of successful results in business process optimization for SAP supported supply chain processes.
  • Proven experience in target process design, preferable using SAP Signavio.
  • Experience with Supply chain KPI (Key Performance Indicators) and PPI (Process Performance indicators)
